Lauren Turner’s love for broadcasting began at a very early age. Growing up as an only child, Lauren spent a lot of her childhood memorizing and reciting the nightly news programs that she watched with her grandmother. In High school, after interviewing a local radio personality for a senior project, Lauren decided she would make a career out of interviewing interesting people and celebrities. 

 

            In 2006, after attending broadcasting school, she was offered a job as a producer for  Radio One Atlanta.  Fast forward to 2009 and Lauren Turner’s dreams were manifesting.  She spent her days interviewing from Hollywood red carpets and movie sets.

 

            There’s a saying “If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans”. In 2012 Lauren was faced with the biggest obstacle of her career.  Due to a severe spinal condition she underwent two major back surgeries. These surgeries would take years of recovery and a move back to her hometown.  While recovering, Lauren utilized her time and love for film and broadcasting to create LaurenLovesit.com where she reviews films and Television shows, interviews the cast and crew and brings a female perspective to the male dominated world of film criticism.
